Installed on the port since 1910, this tavern seems to have a little something extra in common with its neighbours. Recently renovated, it offers from the large shaded terrace a full view of the old port and the beach. Rewarded for its traditional cuisine by the Greek Academy of Taste, you can order with your eyes closed. The service is very friendly. Outside of meals, it is one of the only addresses in the port where you can enjoy a real espresso! In addition, they offer two studios: from 40 to 70 €, depending on the size and the season.

With a full view of the bay of Mochlos, only a few kilometers from the beach, this tavern is well worth a visit. It is a family tavern, tastefully decorated in a dark yellow ochre tone, where the owners and staff are calm and friendly. Sit on the beautiful, shady terrace and enjoy the authentic, home-made Cretan cuisine. The quality of the raw materials and the know-how of the managers are the guarantee of a succulent meal with Cretan and Mediterranean flavors.

Sofia is a Cretan tavern of very high quality. Tourists based in the village use it as a canteen, as the prices are reasonable and the quality is high. The tavern also offers hearty breakfasts, with hot toast and coffee in the morning. Fruit juices are exclusively fresh! Excellent service and a pleasant location, just above the small beach with a staircase leading up to the tavern. Take the opportunity to ask about the botanical walks offered by the owner's sister-in-law.

It's the tavern at the far end of the harbour. From its shady terrace you have a view of the bay of Mochlos. In a rather pleasant setting, all the classics of the typical Cretan tavern are on offer: several Cretan dishes of the day, fresh fish, grilled over a wood fire, seafood, shellfish, salads, fried small fish, squid or shrimp, salads and a variety of other dishes. The owners of the tavern also offer studios and apartments for rent, independent, located on the port.

On the wooden terrace above the waves, the tavern owner peels her vegetables in the early morning surrounded by the regulars who come to have coffee. If you prefer seafood, Spyros, the tavern owner who speaks a little French, offers fresh fish (more expensive), shellfish and seafood.
