Gafsa is located at the crossroads between the cereal plateaus of the North and the large oases of Jérid. It is the crossroads of western Tunisia, the gateway to the South serving Tozeur and the desert, the east coast and Djerba, but also the North: Kasserine, Kairouan or Tunis at 350 km. Gafsa is above all a city where one makes a stopover, a place of passage and not a destination that attracts for itself. Not at all touristy, it remains pleasant, but neither its medina, nor the new town are unmissable
