Located 25 km east of Szombathely (accessible by Route 86, then 88), on the River Rába, Sárvár hosts one of the most recent spas in the country. Discovered some 80 years ago, these hot springs, with a temperature above ° C, attract a large number of German and Austrian tourists seeking new youth. But the second attraction of Sárvár is the castle of Erzsébet Báthory (Nádasdy Vár), that of the "Princess vampire". The 300 th century Countess Elisabeth Báthory had forged a killer réputation reputation and adepte of sadistic practices, saying that she would have killed nearly girls in order to afford youth cures, shelter in their blood.Sárvár is also a green city, it can be proud of its arboretum and numerous outdoor activities that the banks of the river Gyös and its modest lakes offer. That said, if you are not curiste and moreover without children, Sárvár does not require a stop.
