This pizzeria is a meeting place for locals who appreciate generous quality and low prices. The restaurant doesn't look like much, but the exposed stone walls and the terrace at the back give it a certain charm. The wood-fired pizzas, with their thick dough, are topped with fresh produce. The restaurant also offers pasta, including fregola with semolina, and plates of Sardinian cold cuts and cheeses. A good little typical canteen.

This excellent fish restaurant evokes a time when bluefin tuna were common in the waters of the Mediterranean. Luckily, there are many other pelagic resources that end up nicely cooked, such as this pasta with langoustines, this squid stew or these large tagliatelle mixed with fresh tomatoes and mussels. But the speciality to taste absolutely is the cascà, a variety of Tunisian couscous. One sits on one of the two sheltered terraces, with no view, but with comfortable high chairs.

The restaurant and fish shop Sandolo is one of the institutions of Carloforte and an address to be discovered absolutely. At the end of the harbour, the white front, the tables covered in blue and the white tiles on the wall remind us that we are in a real fishmonger's shop. From the fishing to the plate, every day fish and seafood are brought here and transformed into a beautiful fresh menu: rosé tuna and cherry tomatoes, sea urchins, beautiful shrimps, squid, catch of the day... for fish lovers, you are at the right place!

This is one of Carloforte's most traditional and renowned restaurants, recognizable by its pretty, tree-lined wooden storefront as you enter the harbor. On the menu: fresh cuisine and Sardinian dishes in this Pomata family-run establishment, considered one of the best in Carloforte. They also own the nearby Pomata bistro, offering modern cuisine and good pizzas for those looking for a trendy rather than traditional venue. House specialties: tuna trippa and tuna alla carlofortina.

Located in a former warehouse built some 250 years ago on the port, this restaurant has established itself over the seasons as the best table in the city. Nicolo Pomata, the chef, can be recognized by the bandana tied on his head, which never leaves his head. So much so that the locals have nicknamed him "the pirate". Nicolo takes pleasure in promoting the bluefin tuna, unfortunately in danger of extinction. So he skillfully tastes swordfish cooked with aubergines alla parmigiana and mozzarella or carlofortais maccheroni with pesto, tomato and pecorino.

A very good address whose specialty is the alla carlofortina. You can try the couscous, composed only of semolina and vegetables. The various invasions suffered apparently left traces in Carloforte.

Chef Andrea Rosso knows all the secrets of tuna, but respecting the work of men and the rhythms of nature, he avoids offering this fish in periods when the raw material is not available. In season, we find the tuna fillet in salt served on a bed of juicy tomatoes and seasoned with a dash of olive oil, the homemade tuna lasagne covered with drops of pesto or the roasted tuna with tomato juice and bay leaf.
