About 15 kilometers west of the Pacific Highway, slightly set back from the coast, Wingham is a town whose life is concentrated on Bent Sreet. It is a relatively small town, with a population of just over 5,000 at the last census in 2021. Its main interest is the Wingham Brush Nature Reserve, a 7 hectare reserve along the Manning River. You will find a beautiful rainforest with impressive Moreton Bay figs, superb wild orchids and giant sting trees over which countless bats fly at sunset.
