Thredbo, a small village located 1 365 metres from the hills of Kosciuszko National Park, is one of Australia's most famous ski resorts.The station was founded in 1957. The highlight is 2 037 metres away. There are 14 ski lifts and slopes for all levels in a 480-hectare ski area. The longest track is 5,9 km. Thredbo serves as the starting point for the exploration of Mount Kosciuszko, especially thanks to the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift.Each year, the city organizes the Blues Festival (mid-May) and the Country Music Festival (March).
