The Snowy Mountains are located 230 km south of Canberra, New South Wales. The road passes through the Tuggeranong Valley, crosses the foothills of the Brindabella Mountains to reach Cooma, the door of the Snowy Mountains. You can then pass through Berridale to go to Jindabyne on the artificial lake of the same name.
