Dubbo is located 416 km west of Sydney, in the center of New South Wales and on the edge of the outback. With a population of over 39,000, the city is considered the main rail and road hub of the state. It has a very large sheep slaughterhouse. Its main tourist interest is its huge zoo, the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Beyond the zoo, it is especially the secondary attractions which are planned for the children, which can interest the families. You can also visit its old prison, the Old Dubbo Gaol and some other sites like the Western Plains Cultural Centre to discover the Australian art
