CENTRE CULTUREL EL ALMACEN
Read moreThis warehouse combines two 19th-century houses and was the headquarters of the Arrecife School of Arts and Crafts from 1933 to 1970. In 1974, it was acquired by César Manrique with the aim of turning it into a space dedicated to avant-garde artistic movements. After seven years of renovation, it reopened its doors in 2016 and today houses two exhibition halls and a cinema. And a bar of the same name, where you can enjoy a drink between two exhibitions.
LA CASA AMARILLA
Read moreBuilt in the late 1920s, this building was for many years the former seat of Lanzarote's Cabildo (government). It was classified as a cultural asset in 2002, and the building underwent a meticulous renovation that was completed in 2014. Today, its first floor hosts temporary exhibitions dedicated to the memory of the island of Lanzarote, at a rate of around one new exhibition every three months. As you enter, you'll notice its facade covered in green and ochre glazed ceramics. The origin of its popular name.
