Sports and leisure activities La Restinga

Created in 1978, this centre was a pioneer in its field on the island of El Hierro and has excellent infrastructures (equipment, boats) and offers its experience of underwater discovery with nearly twenty-five diving spots located around the Restinga. It is also possible to take diving and snorkeling courses or to make a baptism. This serious and friendly school is also ESA and PADI approved and also organizes underwater photography competitions.

La Restinga Diving is a diving center located in La Restinga, El Hierro. It offers scuba diving and freediving activities. The dives are supervised by a professional team and the equipment is of a high standard. Dives take place along the southern coast of El Hierro, in "el mar de las calmas", offering authentic views and calm seas. Dives are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced divers. The center also offers boat excursions and other water sports. Visitors praise the warm welcome and friendliness of the center's staff.

The Calmas Sea Marine Reserve is fairly well protected from the prevailing winds, which makes it perfect for this sport all year round, with visibility of up to 40 m.
