You can buy fruits and vegetables, fish, meat and flowers at the market dedicated to Our Lady of Africa, located on Calle San Sebastián, across from the TEA Museum. This enclosed two-story market, which is a large interior courtyard lined with arcades housing the stalls, does not have the liveliness of an African market, but neither is it completely European. This discreet exoticism justifies the visit. Inside and around, you will find many tapas bars.

Since 1968, the sweet tooths of Santa Cruz go there to indulge their addiction. Behind a fortunately preserved facade, evoking the old past of drugstore known by this place, it is a decoration of candy store which is used as case to the various proposed sweets: tarts, often with chocolate, salted and sweetened pancakes, numerous cookies and pastries. As for drinks, you can accompany them with a cup of chocolate, a barraquito, a Bombon coffee or a cappucino. Be careful, the few tables on the terrace are often crowded.
