It's a UFO on the Prague culinary scene, initiated by the team at Dégustation Bohème Bourgeoise, the city's iconic Michelin-starred restaurant. Everything about the place exudes creativity: the access via a back door, the setting (a large circular table around the open kitchen), but above all it's the concept that's brilliant. Above the excellent Eska café-bakery, one of Prague's most ambitious eateries has just opened: Štangl. The Ambiente Group is behind it, of course, with chef Martin Štangl at the helm. The setting is modern and elegant: a dozen tables around an open kitchen. The culinary approach strikes a balance between tradition and innovation, with numerous references to Czech cuisine and bold, creative creations.
