Aghios Antonios is a tiny fishing port off the coast of Nissiros. There are a few caiques, two tavernas and a few houses. To the west of the bay, you can swim on a sandy beach at the mills. Continuing further west, you reach Plaka Bay, which is closed off by the Pounta peninsula, dominated by the new wind turbine. Plaka's pebble beach offers crystal-clear waters. It's bordered by a green oasis where ducks and peacocks roam free. Campers spend the summer among the reeds and eucalyptus trees, and you can also camp here free of charge. Please note that there's no water supply or food. Don't hesitate to climb the windmill before sunset to watch the sun fall over the horizon. Finally, one of Tilos' most beautiful trails leads from Aghios Antonios to the solitary monastery of Aghios Panteleimon. If you're lucky enough to be visiting at the end of July, don't miss the 3-day panygiria celebrations. Another pleasant alternative is the 30-minute walk up to Megalo Horio.
