Built at the foot of Mount Vermio, on the edge of the cliff, Edessa is a pleasant town, embellished by parks, gardens and beautiful waterfalls from which you can enjoy an excellent view of the artificial lake and the valley. 2 km from Edessa is the ancient city and its ruins. The site includes the remains of three early Christian basilicas, but it can only be visited in summer.
