The village, known for its exceptional Macedonian tombs, is located between Veria and Edessa. Starting from Veria and after passing the small village of Kopanos, you will easily find the first signs indicating the presence of tombs. The Macedonian tombs in the vicinity of Lefkadia are sumptuously decorated and, in some respects, are not unlike the royal tombs of Vergina of the same period.
