A few kilometers west of Vukovar, this city, served by a railway station and a bus station, has the particularity of having been built on a Roman site. Archaeological excavations have revealed an ancient Christian city. Called Cibalae, it was the site of the martyrdom of Bishop Eusebius (258) and Polion (304). A story of these early Christians is told during the visit of the municipal museum. A municipal agency (Turisti ka Zajednica) provides all information on accommodation, restaurants, sightseeing, heritage discovery, and also offers free brochures and maps.
