DOOR PLOČA (VRATA OD PLOČE)
Gate of the old town in the north-east of Dubrovnik, overlooked by the Assimov tower and with a statue of St. Blaise.
At the northeastern end of the city, the old town's second major gate, the 15th-century Ploče Gate, is overlooked by the Asimon Tower. The gate is preceded by two churches (St. Luke's and the Church of the Annunciation). Like the Porte Pile, it features an indispensable statue of Saint Blaise, the local patron saint, and its bridges are similar to those of the Porte Nord-Ouest. Passing through this gate, you'll reach the Ploče district, home to the lazareti.
