We stayed here in April and went to the bar in hotel vis every evening. It had incredible views across the bay. The staff were very efficient and really friendly. Mario remembered our drinks from the night before and had really good English. He gave us lots of tips for local transport and excursions. He knew our names and always made sure to get us another drink before the bar closed. Such a friendly staff and great service at all times. We will definitely be back!
My recent stay at Hotel Vis in Dubrovnik was nothing short of delightful. Situated in a stunning location overlooking the sea, the hotel offers breathtaking views from the rooms. I stayed in room 253, which was incredibly spacious and boasted a comfortable double bed. However, the only downside was that the bed was a bit noisy.
One of the highlights of my stay was the phenomenal breakfast buffet, which was included in our booking. The variety and quality of food offered were exceptional, providing a perfect start to each day of our stay.
The hotel also has its private beach, although rocky and with cold water during our April visit, it still offered opportunities for snorkeling. Guests can bring their gear or purchase it from a shop conveniently located just 2 minutes away.
In terms of amenities, the room was well-equipped with everything one might need, including tooth glasses, a hairdryer, and efficient air conditioning. However, the standout feature was undoubtedly the stunning sea views from the sea view rooms.
I must commend Vanessa at the reception for her exceptional service. She was incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Knowing that our flight was early and we would miss the breakfast buffet, she kindly offered to prepare breakfast boxes for us to take away, free of charge.
Overall, my experience at Hotel Vis was fantastic, and I would love to stay here again in the future. The combination of beautiful views, spacious rooms, excellent amenities, and outstanding service made for a memorable stay in Dubrovnik. Highly recommended although one massive drawback is there’s no elevators in the hotel, but it’s still exceptionally worthwhile.
Exceeded my expectation for a 3star hotel. Staff very attentive and helpful. Whole is clean average modern hotel. Only downside is not disabled friendly and guest are inclined to use stairs. Worth with the Seaview. Food is good keeping regular fresh portions to match guest numbers. Bus service just right outside cost €2 per person one way to Old Town.
Savršeno mir i tišina prekrasna stara taraca sa pogledom na plažu i more stari hotel kojem ne treba tražiti zamjerke nego jednostavno uživati u moru i suncu
Older style hotel, with a newer wing extension. Many rooms overlook the beach and across Lapad Bay. The reception staff are helpful and efficient. The rooms are clean with everything working. Usual breakfast options served in a large indoor/ outdoor dining area which also overlooks the beach. Hotel Vis was a good base for exploring Dubrovnik, bus to the old town leaves outside the hotel.
We’d booked a week’s holiday at Vis through the UK airline ‘Jet2’, we caught the coach from the airport, checked on by a rep. When we arrived we were told the hotel was closing and we couldn’t stay here!
Luckily we were moved to their sister hotel, the Uvala across the street and our holiday extras of a sea view and evening meal would be honoured.
The Uvala is a 4 star hotel and the Vis 3 so it was all good in the end.
The location is very good with a good pebble beach, some nice bars and a supermarket.
The bus stops right outside the hotel and costs €2 to Dubrovnik and they depart regularly.
Another person who had also been moved said the Vis was good and had stayed there 3 times before.
