1. Charged more than advertised (They say all taxes inclusive, but charged again at hostel). Outside the old town will cost only 1/4th what they charged me.
2. The staff did not know much - regarding eating places, what to suggest, even for the public transport. Rather than saying they didn't know, they gave me the wrong info and wasted my time, energy, and money.
3. l had to find another place to keep my bag for a couple of hours after checkout and pay extra 12€.
In conclusion, never again in this hostel.

I enjoyed my stay here. The beds need to be updated since they’re old and a little short: I’m 6 feet and was touching the bed frame. Otherwise, the place is clean, it’s quiet at night, the service is friendly and the bedrooms are air conditioned. One of the few hostels where I slept really well.

Anyone that complains about the stairs is pretty unreasonable. Most AirBnB apartments and hostels inside and out of Grad will require you to walk up a heavy flight of stairs.

Lots of stairs to access the rooms so not super accessible or easy to carry bags up. Rooms are pretty overpriced for what you get but by Dubrovnik’s standards it’s ok. Probably needs a bit of reno to rooms/bathrooms. Wifi poor on top floor

Really well!

Service was very good and helpful here. Not 24 hour, but we checked in late and they had everything we needed in order for us since we had notified them. Right by the outer city wall (although no ocean view from the 2nd floor). Rooms were quite clean, staff was helpful and friendly. One of our favorite hostels for sure. Close proximity to a number of restaurants, bars, and sites in the old city in Dubrovnik.

City walls hostel is perfectly located in the old town to make the visit of the city and its surrounding as easy as possible. We spent a couple of days in the private bedroom which was simple, yet very clean and functional (AC, locker, mirror, cute view) Moreover, the staff was really friendly and super helpful, thanks again :) a plus for the free cereals in the morning and the towels

City Walls hostel is right in the Old Town, a 5 minute walk (and a lot of steps) from the city gates. Big locker (and will lend a lock too), sockets, reading lights and extra blankets in the room - I felt quite cold (in April) and used the blanket. Some atmosphere downstairs but rooms are nice and quiet. Quite a small hostel.

A nice, clean hostel in a quieter part of town. Staff are super friendly and very helpful ????

Staff is fabulous - helpful and friendly
I was in a six bed dorm, had plenty of space, and the bed was comfy enough. The lockers are enormous! The six of us shared one shower, but it didn’t seem to be a problem. The location is nice - in the walls, however it takes a lot of steps to get there.
Note that you can find someone at the taxi queue to bring your bags up for you.

This was the best hostel I stayed in on my trip out of many others across Europe. The rooms are beautifully air conditioned, which is hard to find.

There are a lot of stairs as it's a very vertical building but if you're staying in the old town you can't complain ????

The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. Specifically, Anya, she showed us the whole town on a map and gave us a tailored guide on restaurants and sites to see. Her recommendations were great and she was so nice outside of that too.

Just a realy cozy family vibe that is hard to find with hostels. Would absolutely stay here many more nights and urge any hostel goers to stay here!

Hostel was in a quiet part of Dubrovnik Old Town (which is hard to come by since the town is so popular) so it was lovely and peaceful. There are quite a lot of steps but this is to be expected anywhere in Old Town Dubrovnik!
Staff Nikolina and Gaby are excellent, very helpful and accomodating, will give you good insight into things to do and places to go in Dubrovnik and are very friendly.
Rooms were fitted with AC and were cool and clean. Plenty of room to put your luggage etc. Very good, recommended.

Really gorgeous hostel - spotlessly clean and nicely located. Be prepared for a lot of steps to get there, but it’s worth it - I have a couple of disabilities and I still found it manageable. The staff are friendly and helpful - Anja is absolutely fantastic, and I loved getting to chill with her and the guests in the social area downstairs. The owner - I think Eci, I’m sorry I forgot to ask her name - was also super helpful when my flight got cancelled last-minute! They’re able to help with tours to Bosnia and Montenegro too. Dubrovnik is my favourite trip to date and the hostel is a big part of the reason why - great people and great memories. Thank you for a lovely week!
