Spanish citadel on a hill in Hvar with four round towers and buildings for storing gunpowder.

Perched on a hill and overlooking the city, the fortress that protected the port, known as the Spanish citadel, saw its first construction work begin at the end of the 13th century, under Venetian, not Hispanic, rule, and was completed in the 16th century. Assez d’accord avec les avis précédents: chemin agréable jusqu'au sommet, qui dégage des panoramas de plus en plus beaux sur la ville et la mer. A 40 Kn, la visite de la forteresse est assez onéreuse, mais non dénuée d'intérêt. On peut s'y asseoir, admirer, s'instruire...
