CROATIAN NATIONAL SPLIT THEATER
Well-restored national theater in Split with a yellow neoclassical façade.
Built at the end of the 19th century by architects Vecchietti and Bezić, this national theater is one of the oldest in Dalmatia. The first company took to the stage in 1920, and the theater has been a popular success ever since. It was badly damaged by fire in 1971, but has since been well restored. If you don't have the opportunity to attend a performance (theater, dance, concert), admire its yellow neoclassical façade from the outside.
