The Porta Aurea, or Golden Gate, is one of the four main entrances to Diocletian's palace. Located on the north side, it was once reserved for the emperor and adorned with rich ornamentation. Built in the 4th century, this gate symbolizes Roman imperial power. It features elegant arches and niches housing statues. Today, the Porta Aurea remains an emblematic site, marking the entrance to the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
