Imposing military castle in Kornat, the highest building on the island, accessible by hiking with a panoramic view of the archipelago.
Dating from the Byzantine era, this imposing military castel remains the highest building on the island on Mount Metlina (237 m). A hiking trail starts from Kravjačica. It takes about 1 hour to walk and you should bring water and a hat because the scrub vegetation, without trees, offers splendid panoramas but almost no place for shade. Once you reach the fort, the 360 degree panoramic view of the islands is splendid. They seem very close, accessible by swimming. But it's an optical illusion, don't try it!
