The basic role of the Zadar County Tourist Board is to encourage, preserve, improve and advance all existing tourist resources in the county.
Its basic task is also cooperation and coordination with legal and natural persons with the aim of implementing the tourism development plan and stimulating and assisting the development of tourism in less developed areas. The important role of the Zadar County Tourist Board is the development of a plan and program for the promotion of the products of Zadar County and the establishment and implementation of all the promotional works of the county in the country and abroad.
Our basic task is to provide every tourist with all the necessary information for an unforgettable holiday in our region. In order to offer the best and most complete information about the tourist resources of our region, city, municipal and local tourist offices have been created where you can get all the information you are interested in and related to your stay in our region.
The Tourist Board of Zadar County has a total of six municipal tourist boards, nineteen communal tourist boards and three local tourist boards. The representatives of the tourist offices meet at the monthly coordination meeting held in the offices of the Zadar County Tourist Board. The tourist offices, in addition to working on the coordination, participate in tourist fairs, events, festivals or other gatherings that are essential for the development of tourism in the region. In the mutual actions, good experiences are exchanged and many joint activities are organized in order to create new tourism products and resources.

If you have a penchant for sailing or simply long for the open sea, the Zadar region is certainly your cup of tea! Its crystal-clear shores and pretty teal bays offer countless marine aromas and naval flavours to feed your wandering spirit. Sailing along the wonderful islands, islets and reefs surrounding one of the most indented coastal waters in Europe is the hallmark of this region.
Don't worry if you can't sail or boat! Kayaking, SUP and cycling are popular activities, but diving in the crystal clear sea is still the first choice. Explore the beautiful sea around the island by kayak, and the mainland by bike. The prize will be the beautiful photos you capture. A particularly interesting activity will be the SUP Island Hopping adventure that will take you to different islands where you can get acquainted with the natural beauties, but also with the gastronomic offer of this region.

Whether you're biking, hiking, rafting, climbing or testing your water balance, this area has something for you.
The region has many bike trails that offer first-class thrills and fun. Mountain bikers will rush to the Paklenica Riviera and try their hand at the slopes of Velebit or the rough surface of the Pag "moon". Families will enjoy the gentle scenic roads of the Nin or Biograd Riviera and the wonderful seaside resorts, and road cyclists can easily train on the longitudinal roads of the island or the hinterland.
And for hiking and mountaineering enthusiasts, there are also a handful of trails! Lungo mare walks in the coastal towns, with the smell of the sea, the sound of crickets and an irresistible sunset, are the perfect end to the day. However, for the more ambitious, the most famous mountaineering destination in this region is certainly the Paklenica National Park, which is part of the Velebit mountain range. There is something for everyone, from the easiest to the most demanding trails, but they all offer breathtaking views and a unique experience. and offer a unique experience.

The world-renowned Pag cheese can be found in every restaurant, and you can also visit the cheese factories on the island of Pag. Some of the intoxicating wines, which have been grown here for over 3,000 years, will go well with cheese. If you are a real foodie, you must try peka - a classic of octopus or veal with potatoes and vegetables, and Pag lamb is already widely known as peka.
