Mount Kaz National Park is one of the most beautiful in Turkey. The summit of Mount Kaz reaches 1,174 m. The natural beauties surrounding this national park are mainly water springs and towering trees. The mountain is also known as "Sacred Mountain Ida". Mythology tells us that the first beauty contest was held on this mountain. The contest was between Aphrodite, Hera and Athena, and Aphrodite won. In memory of this contest, a beauty pageant festival is held every year in Mount Kaz National Park.
