Mount Kaz National Park is one of the most beautiful in Turkey. The summit of Mount Kaz is 1,174 m high. The natural beauties surrounding this national park are mainly water sources and imposing trees. This mountain is known as "Sacred Mountain Ida". Mythology tells that the first beauty contest was held on this mountain. The contest is between Aphrodite, Hera and Athena and Aphrodite wins. In memory of this contest, a beauty contest festival is organized every year in the Kaz Mountain National Park.
