Its past goes back to the Loryan pastry shop (from the East) opened in 1923 in Péra. At Baylan, you can find all the know-how of the old merchants of Istanbul and it is not easy to make your choice. There is another brand in Bebek. It is also possible to sit and consume on site. A cup of ice cream, the house's speciality: the kup griye. You won't really taste any local pastries because they offer the French classics. Rates are above average, especially for tea, which is at an excessive price for Istanbul.
