A little-known district, yet one of the most charming in the city. And what makes Yeniköy so charming are the famous yalı, these beautiful wooden houses that border the Bosporus. They can be found lined up behind the high walls all along the neighbourhood. From the sea, the view of these doll's houses is superb. Don't miss Afif Pasha's yalı, designed by Alexander Vallaury, a famous Franco-Ottoman architect of the late 19th century. We take the opportunity to stroll along the harbour, on foot or by bike, and have tea in one of the cafés along the coast.
