You can't help but be struck by the grace and elegance of this unusual mosque. Blending baroque and neoclassical styles, it boasts the world's slimmest minarets! To one side, the clock tower of Dolmabahçe Palace complements the gentle landscape. Another marriage between East and West, its architect was Garabed Balyan, appointed by the Sultana Mother Bezmi Alem, who erected the building in the mid-19th century.
