Located 60 km south of the Suez Canal, it is the first tourist village in the Sinai due to its proximity to Cairo. Ras Es-Sudr is of interest as a quiet resort (post office, restaurants, police station, souk ...) rather than a destination for scuba diving. Windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts (even beginners) will nevertheless be delighted: the winds are constant here. The region also attracts bird-watching enthusiasts, as many species of migratory birds can be observed here. However, the landscape is nothing exceptional. The beautiful rock of the Sinai Mountain is quite far from the coast.
