Nilometer next to the Manasterly Palace offering a visit to a small museum dedicated to the icon of Arab song, Oum Kalsoum.
Dug in 715, this building was rebuilt in 861 under Mohammed Ali. This nilometer is no longer in use since the Aswan Dam was built. Next to it is the Manasterly Palace where public concerts are held. There is a small museum dedicated to the icon of Arabic song, Oum Kalsoum. Through her archive photos, contracts, and dresses she wore during her concerts, one can feel the fervor that surrounded each of her stage and radio appearances.
