Hotel located a stone's throw from Tahrir Square on a pedestrian street, offering spacious, comfortable and well-furnished rooms.
Just a stone's throw from Tahrir Square and on a pedestrian street, this hotel is ideally located for exploring this lively part of Cairo on foot. With its magnificent rococo architecture, this hotel, opened in 1927, remains a landmark. King Farouk was a regular guest here. It reopened in 2023 after a thorough renovation. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with period-style furniture, drapes and curtains, and luxurious bathrooms. The common areas were a little dirty when we visited. Reservations are advisable.
