A small unknown city that is slowly coming out of the shadows. On the road to Montana, about 50 km from Sofia, the city of Berkovitsa, benefiting from the proximity of the Klisura monastery, attracts a growing number of tourists. In the heart of its mountainous setting, this small town also benefits from a mild climate and spa facilities. We appreciate its green city center, mostly pedestrian. We discover a small district of the national Renaissance whose main attraction is the house-museum of Ivan Vazov.
