A quarter of an hour's walk from the city centre, towards the east coast, the neo-creole building of the Alliance française looks great. Some seven thousand books and more than two hundred DVDs in the language of Moreau de Séchelles: this is a sanctuary of the French-speaking world, with around three thousand members, 60% of them Seychellois. There are also many temporary exhibitions.
Please note: there is a bistro upstairs and is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. A nice place to have a bite to eat or a drink
