SHENGPING THEATRE

The former Jiufen theatre, long abandoned, has recently been renovated thanks to the actions of local associations and public authorities. Transformed into a small museum, you can also discover documentaries on the history of Jiufen, broadcast all day long. A visit to the theatre has become a must to immerse yourself in the city's heritage, with its reconstructions of typical Old Taiwanese shops, its old cinema, its wooden balconies, etc. On the other hand, the visit must be postponed if there are buses waiting in front of it.
