FUSHAN TEMPLE

This temple is a little out of the city center, on the heights, but the view is even more impressive. Built two centuries ago, Fushan Temple is the most important temple in the region. Attended by many faithful who come to pray in front of the central shrine, in which (it is one of Jiufen's mysteries) statues of naked Western women are found. The people of Jiufen still wonder about the meaning of this quirk.
