This bay lies to the south-east of Koh Chang, where it forms a deep indentation. The panorama is quite charming, and the contrast with the island's western coastline is striking. The village of Salak Phet lies at the head of the bay. Due to a different planning permission policy, the bay has no huge concrete buildings similar to the large hotels flourishing on the more touristy west coast. The asphalt road continues along the western shore to another fishing village - Ruang Tan - where there is some tourist infrastructure. A beautiful beach lies on the eastern shore.
