A national gallery offering temporary and permanent exhibitions of works by Thai and foreign artists.

Opened in 1974, the National Gallery exhibits works by Thai and foreign artists through permanent and temporary exhibitions. The floor is devoted to the ancient periods and works up to the Ayutthaya period. The ground floor is dedicated to contemporary art. A good way to discover the specificities of Thai art through the centuries and compare the different styles. One can even discover works by Kings Rama VI and Rama IX. Don't expect to see what you can see in London or New York...
