The town of Baliangao has a population of around 27,000. It is renowned for its unspoilt seabed, which is so popular with divers, and for the beautiful sandy beaches in the surrounding area. Sunrise Beach, at the tip, is the most popular. It's a pretty white-sand beach, lined with trees and vegetation. The water is very clear, and you can swim there when it's not low tide. There's also the U River View Point, overlooking the Bigaan River where it meanders in a U or horseshoe shape. You'll have to climb for about an hour, but once up there, the view is superb.
