This small town, more peaceful than Angeles, is only a few kilometers from its neighbor. It is not of major interest, but it is world-famous for the scenes of flagellation and public crucifixions that take place every year on Good Friday, before the eyes of a mass of tourists, Filipinos and foreigners alike, who come to admire these devotees to the extreme. These practices are condemned by the local Church. Please do not confuse San Fernando Pampanga (here) with San Fernando La Union (north towards Vigan).
