Travel Guide National Park Of Tsambagarav Uul

Located on the border between Khovd and Bayan-Olgiyaimag , Tsambagarav Mountain was elevated to national park status in 2000, in order to protect its glaciers and the few snow leopards that live there (but that you will have a hard time seeing). There is an important fauna composed of endangered animals, like argali sheep and ibex.The summit is 4,202 meters high and remains covered with snow throughout the year. In summer, nomadic families of the Kazakh and Uriankai ethnic groups come here with their herds. It is possible to stay in their yurts and have meals with them.
