The Hercílio Luz Bridge, made of steel, is reminiscent of San Francisco's Golden Gate in both its architectural style and its popularity on postcards of the city. It was built in the 1920s. It symbolizes the city's industrial development at the time. From the bridge, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Floripa. At the foot of the bridge is the historic Santana fort, built by the Portuguese in 1761.
