At 12 km from Natal. A small winding river separates the beaches, lined with coconut trees and houses, and the natural pools, the parrachos. In town, you will see twisted branches that are the size of a block of houses. They have only one trunk. This cajueiro is the largest tree in the world. At the wooden jetty boats and jangadas dock. The river divides the city into two parts: Pirangi do Norte, where masses of young Natalenses rush every summer and Pirangi do Sul, where the parrachos (reefs) are found. This part lends itself to water sports.
