Le Saint-Tropez aims to be an international restaurant and bar with a French soul. The owner Guy, a French expatriate, opened the doors of his establishment in the early 1980s, and the big jovial Obelix at the entrance is now a well-known figure among tourists. The chef offers a good cuisine with an undeniable French touch, the moquecas are excellent. Grilled octopus with bacon, shrimps with thermidor sauce, scallops with "belle meunière" sauce. It's a bit expensive and the service can be improved.

The restaurant of the pousada Caminho do Sol is one of the best tables in town, first of all for the plate, whose every ingredient whatever the dish is cooked with love and patience (great variety of dishes, delicious shrimps and fish). We're closer to the slowfood spirit than we are to a tourist who's not coming back. Here, regulars and gourmets in search of good food flock here.
