A true ecotourism paradise, this small peninsula is renowned for its magnificent seabed. Arraial do Cabo (about 28,000 inhabitants) was for a long time the den of pirates and abounds in underwater wrecks. The waters are incomparably clear (except when the phenomenon of ressûrgencia - red tide - occurs: the waters are then dark and impenetrable). So, if you are an adept of diving, your route must inevitably pass by here. On the spot, many specialized agencies rent equipment and sell packages of baptism, or diving courses, and in general they are all very professional, and the material of good quality. Moreover, the place develops a real ecotourism with many boat trips, surfing spots, hiking trails along the beaches... Ah, the beaches... Just turn your head to see a new one even more beautiful than the previous one. The Praia do Farol for example, located on the island of the same name, is bordered by a sea of green tones and impeccable cleanliness. It has magnificent sand dunes where you can enjoyesquibunda, literally "skifesses": going down the dunes, sitting on a wooden board, a sort of sand sledge! The best way to enjoy the beauties of Arraial do Cabo is certainly to take a boat for the day and dive from the bow, from beach to beach, to discover the marine beauties of what the local tourist office calls the diving capital.
