While you might not come to Paraty for a kebab,Istanbul is a good, inexpensive option for kebabs (the meat here is of good quality), falafels and other gourmet sandwiches. Numerous vegetarian options (salads, a very good hummus, tabbouleh...), fresh fruit juices, lassis, Turkish coffee... Everything is prepared fresh. The "tapete voador" (flying carpet) dish lets you sample different specialties. A relaxed, bohemian atmosphere. Convenient for lunch on the run or to take away before catching the bus.
