Neo-Gothic abbey of Maredsous with large terraces offering a real family outing every year
A place of relaxation and spirituality, the neo-Gothic abbey of Maredsous has perpetuated the tradition of welcoming Benedictine monks in the exceptional natural setting of the Molignée valley since 1872. In the former school of art reconverted into a reception center, store, bookshop, playground, guided tours, marked out walks... are proposed to you. A real family outing. The local products delight the thousands of visitors who sit down each year on the large terraces, but the beer and cheese of the abbey are a must. Duvel Moortgat is planning to set up a microbrewery on the spot.

Une abbaye très bien conservée et très agréable. Facile d'accès, avec un grand parking, un restaurant et une brasserie ainsi qu'une école. L'endroit est vraiment très chouette ! Et leur pain et fromage est délicieux !

Joli cadre où l'on peut déguster la bonne bière de Maredsous.
Une tartine (le pain des moines) avec du fromage de Maredsous pour agrémenter l'excursion.

Belle abbaye située dans une très belle région bucolique. Possibilité de belles balades dans les alentours pour ensuite profiter des produits locaux (bières et fromages réputés).
