A very popular and romantic place in Ixelles, the two ponds are bordered by beautiful houses and offer a very nice walk.
The beautiful facades of the houses take us back to the atmosphere of pre-1940 Brussels. These include fine examples of Flemish neo-Renaissance, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, the best-known of which is the Flagey "liner" on the eponymous square. A former spillway, the ponds of Ixelles offer a romantic setting for a stroll to La Cambre Abbey. Originally, there were four ponds, fed by the Maelbeek stream. Today, only the upper and lower ponds are known.

The ponds Ixelles will lead you to L'Abbaye de la Cambre. superb via magnificent houses and a Art Déco package fried with the chip shop of the Flagey square. one of the best in Brussels.
