Brel has been dead for more than 40 years and had left Brussels long before that, but his image and his work are still alive.
Much more than a museum, the Fondation Brel brings together interviews, testimonials, biographies, written and audiovisual commentaries, songs... A journey through the heart of the city, a succession of privileged moments to understand the things and places Jacques Brel loved, and the way he lived them. Treat yourself to a day to discover the talents and complexity of the man and artist Brel. Your admission ticket gives you access to: the exhibition, the archives, a film of your choice from the 3 on offer, and the excellent urban tour with audio guide.

Open every day from 11am to 6.30pm (last visit at 5.30pm). Closed at Christmas, New Year and early January. Different prices depending on the activity (between 12 and 15 € for an adult). Shop.

Explore two jukeboxes featuring over 330 versions of 169 recorded songs, including little-known titles like "Je ne vais plus à l'école", as well as foreign versions of classics such as "Quand on n'a que l'amour" and "Ne me quitte pas".

"From Le Plat Pays to Les Marquises, from La Valse à mille temps to Ne me quitte pas, come and (re)discover the fabulous repertoire of Le Grand Jacques. Julien Sigalas is an author/composer/performer as well as an actor. He has always dreamed of tackling Brel. In Etienne Champollion, he has found the ideal partner. A multi-instrumentalist, virtuoso pianist and arranger, he knows Jacques Brel's songs like the back of his hand. Together, after almost ten years of performing Renaud's songs on stage, they set about putting together a show that blends power and poetry, lightning and madness, gentleness and laughter. Guitars, piano, accordion and ukulele allow an acoustic approach to Brel, while respecting the immense work of the Brussels singer. The interpretation is personal, but the emotion remains universal
