This former covered market is an information centre on the region and an exhibition space on the urban evolution of Brussels.
The Halles Saint-Géry are the historic heart of Brussels. In 1881, a covered market was built to replace the open-air market that had been held there for a long time, around an existing fountain. A mixture of iron and glass, in a Flemish neo-Renaissance style, the architecture of the halls is worth a visit. Today it is an information centre on the region with, on the first floor, a permanent exhibition on the urban evolution of Brussels from the 17th century to the present day and a café. In the basement, there are temporary exhibitions and a concert hall.

L'architecture du bâtiment vaut le detour. Il y a souvent des activités organisées à l'intérieur, des marches vintage, des match d'impro (mais la soorité du bâtiment n'est pas exceptionnelle). Situé dans un quartier très agrable et dynamique.

Le bâtiment est superbe, à l'extérieur comme à l'intérieur. N'hésitez pas à pousser la porte pour y découvrir les expositions.
