Hearty breakfasts and personalized burgers in a restaurant with a terrace on the Grand Place in Brussels.
Nice atmosphere and terrace with a view on our wonderful Grand Place. The decor is proudly displayed: old Brussels events, puppets from Toone, crystal lights and an open fire. We are in the heart of Brussels and the address is the former home of the Graissiers guild. But the menu is resolutely contemporary and flavourful. Express or copious breakfasts (fair-trade coffee) and for the rest, La Brouette has made a specialty of personalized burgers. Accompanied, note, by fresh fries not a pipe!

Message from Management
This ancient wooden residence, dating back to the 12th century and once belonging to the Serghuys family, was acquired in 1439 by the "GRAISSIERS" guild to become its headquarters.
Rebuilt in stone after the bombardment of 1695, it was restored to its former glory in 1697, adopting the same style as the "King of Spain". A statue of Saint-Gilles, protector of the Graissiers, stands on the façade, watching over the destiny of this warm, rustic tavern.
Above the door, a sign in the shape of a wheelbarrow catches the eye. With its open fire, period chandeliers, weathered floors and staff in traditional dress, this tavern promises convivial and memorable moments.
